Losing to Win

Moments back in time, social media was the canker seemingly moulding the world

Now, it is our binding force

We are obliged to digitally bond, nurture and grow together

We used to value less the smiles of family and friends

Now, we crave the smile of strangers

Thanks to the frenemy, the mask

We wish to be alone to emulate the safety protocol

This pandemic requires such an element

Now, it means something critical to be left alone and in isolation

Life is likely to elude us in that state.

Our existence is threatened by a folly

Yet, through its impact, we have realized what it means to exist in essence

Nevertheless, we are everywhere

Our socially distant co-existence is now a global social support network

We are the substance that nurtures life everywhere

We are the beings racing to live free

Free from what is racking havoc through our race

The human race now has a much more brutal common enemy

We had evolved through a series of phases in this life

This phase of life is faceless but forceful

With subtle attacks that leave cracks in the very fibre, we sought to patch

To complete this patchwork, we need all hands on deck

Our story is pragmatic history in passing

We realized that we are obliged to fight together

And we have every millisecond to recreate the narrative

We look forward to winning even as we lose along with this journey

Teamwork will make this dream work

Chessboard

International Movement of Catholic Students (IMCS) PAX ROMANA,Ghana Federation

Giving the giver that gives you peace and love from the bosom of the size-less heart all the praise  We are matching up to the ends of the earth to make sure that our task of discipleship really goes aboard; this is the title of our hymn “LIBERATION FOR PEACE”    The Holy Spirit knows boundaries; he cannot be limited in his own jurisdiction. So moving on to proclaim that which we have been taught by the teacher, we shall spearhead the action and affirm someday to come “THAT CHRIST MAY BE IN ALL” Not forgetting to promote the student Apostolate among students in higher education, in the Church’s mission and in the world; we came into existence to continue preaching and teaching the word that have life in itself to manifest wonderful and marvelous things according to the Will of the creator, Our Father... Moreover we recognize and work with all concerned men and women for joint action and reflection leading to a more just and equitable social order a...

PEN

This isn’t an acronym. It is a powerful tool. It is blunt but has altered the patterns of history with unequivocal writing success. It has survived all the defining moments through the centuries Ranging from the early reed, quills, and dip pens to the contemporary ballpoint, fountain, and felt pens. History has it that, all users demand a special pen based on the pending purpose of use There is this status symbol attached to any kind of pen that has ever been manufactured. M. Klein and H. W. Wynne had received a US patent for the fountain in 1867. But as early as the 10 th century, the pen had existed.  And until this day, it has metamorphosed through many phases and designs. One of my favourites and most used pen from the 20 th to this century has been Michaels Bich’s Bic pen that was invented in the 1950s. It is simply elegant and mighty. The sword could see itself sharp but the pen is supreme. Talk of brainstorming sessions that led to generati...

Being the Victor

Facilitating a training session on  "How to benefit from Digital media as students and the need to promote PEACE as young people" My life is victory personified. My dad believes in winning against all odds. My mum always has her hopes up high and ready to accommodate the aroma of victory from the heavens. My sisters know that tomorrow is never promised until you win today. It means that each of us has our very own battles to win daily. We consolidate our little victories. Thus, the family defines what it means to live while knowing that grace is sufficient for us.  Till we succeed, we shall continue to persist through perseverance with our mustard faith.  We are not superhumans; we are the family and together we achieve a lot. In our peculiarities, we strive to communion in this journey while supporting each other. Reaffirming that in our weakest moments, we have ourselves. Yes, we are the family. Life, as it unfolds, has many facets to it. I am planning to tell my D...
