Being the Victor

Facilitating a training session on "How to benefit from Digital media as students and the need to promote PEACE as young people"

My life is victory personified. My dad believes in winning against all odds. My mum always has her hopes up high and ready to accommodate the aroma of victory from the heavens. My sisters know that tomorrow is never promised until you win today. It means that each of us has our very own battles to win daily. We consolidate our little victories. Thus, the family defines what it means to live while knowing that grace is sufficient for us.

Till we succeed, we shall continue to persist through perseverance with our mustard faith.

We are not superhumans; we are the family and together we achieve a lot. In our peculiarities, we strive to communion in this journey while supporting each other. Reaffirming that in our weakest moments, we have ourselves. Yes, we are the family.

Life, as it unfolds, has many facets to it. I am planning to tell my Dad and Mum about the poets, authors and playwrights that I really admire. Their works had an impact on my life. It formed a part of how I made it to this point. I am so proud of my family as well, their words and actions, even though were not published, played a contributing factor to what I read and all that I am gradually becoming.

From reading literature, listening to and seeing videos as well as engaging in the discourse regarding the works and achievements of these personalities.

Let me say this,...

“I wish I had met Maya. So that when I write, my words may Rise, like Angels rejoicing o'er a repentant sinner. And like hope, the sun shall rise again. When morning comes after nightfall, I will do it again.

And...

Whence cometh William's tempest? That thou mayest scribe a love poem. In thy bleeding stylo, I trusteth for victory in my quest for love. And thee shalt cascadeth thy Shakespearean puns into my banks.

Thus...

Show me a man with wit who's dumb, and Ola Rotimi will whisper those wise words "The gods are not to blame". His kinsman would not have any questions about the display of wisdom.

Do...

Do you think the sparkle in your eyes is rare? Then Ayi Kwei, the Ga man, must have lied when he said: "The beautiful ones are not yet born". Nonetheless, your smile has political connotations, I might train to lead your campaign pro bono.

Then...

I want to go to places I have dreamed of. Robert tells me to believe everything is possible, and whether my Dad is Poor or Rich, my worth must be more esteemed than my wealth. I will pursue my dreams to acquire assets instead of worrying about liabilities.

Well...

"Good morning Holy Spirit", my praises and thanksgiving must burn before the Lord. Benny, in his account, even shared his testimony thoroughly. Thus, as for me and my family, we shan't relent”.

Though...

I have not encountered Lauren B. Davies but her advice came to me. "Writers meaning of the world through writing, we write because writing is in our marrow. We can no more stop writing than we can breathing..."

Hence...

I dare to keep living no matter the hurdle that keeps impeding me. In consonance with Steven Rinella, I rather not be intimidated by people who are better educated than me, better connected, or better able to play the role of the writer. I hold things of value inside my head, things that no one else knows or has.

Moving on...

I have so much to learn from this life. Recognizing the significance, brilliance and passion gushing forth from "A Rap on Race", I know the voices of James Baldwin and Magaret Mead still echo, even into the future. "We've got to be as clear-headed about human beings as possible because we are still each other's only hope"

Nonetheless...

I have overcome many hills. I still see a litany of them queued ahead of me, but listening to the "I have been to the Mountaintop" acclamation I dare not quit. The passion and drive of Martin Luther King Jnr is an utmost catalyst for change. One step at a time. One victory at a time. Touching one life, and then the next is a prime mandate. My perspective about this life is not myopic. Respecting people's opinions is as important as seeking to agree on our diversity. We can transform our minds. We can be positive change leaders at every viable opportunity that presents itself during our journey in this life.

In sum...

I will keep my head up as I embark on this journey to #BeingTheVictor.

You are a Victor too. Let's tell our stories to guide our next best moves.

Giving the giver that gives you peace and love from the bosom of the size-less heart all the praise  We are matching up to the ends of the earth to make sure that our task of discipleship really goes aboard; this is the title of our hymn “LIBERATION FOR PEACE”    The Holy Spirit knows boundaries; he cannot be limited in his own jurisdiction. So moving on to proclaim that which we have been taught by the teacher, we shall spearhead the action and affirm someday to come “THAT CHRIST MAY BE IN ALL” Not forgetting to promote the student Apostolate among students in higher education, in the Church’s mission and in the world; we came into existence to continue preaching and teaching the word that have life in itself to manifest wonderful and marvelous things according to the Will of the creator, Our Father... Moreover we recognize and work with all concerned men and women for joint action and reflection leading to a more just and equitable social order a...

PEN

This isn’t an acronym. It is a powerful tool. It is blunt but has altered the patterns of history with unequivocal writing success. It has survived all the defining moments through the centuries Ranging from the early reed, quills, and dip pens to the contemporary ballpoint, fountain, and felt pens. History has it that, all users demand a special pen based on the pending purpose of use There is this status symbol attached to any kind of pen that has ever been manufactured. M. Klein and H. W. Wynne had received a US patent for the fountain in 1867. But as early as the 10 th century, the pen had existed.  And until this day, it has metamorphosed through many phases and designs. One of my favourites and most used pen from the 20 th to this century has been Michaels Bich’s Bic pen that was invented in the 1950s. It is simply elegant and mighty. The sword could see itself sharp but the pen is supreme. Talk of brainstorming sessions that led to generati...
